    We are Pedro-boat

History

Since 1973, Pedro-Boat has been building lifelong sailing pleasure. In 1973, a small yard started with the construction and sales of steel motor yachts from Tripscompagnie and de Groeve in the province of Groningen, the Netherlands. On the Zuidlaardermeer, the company developed into a well-known name in pleasure cruising under the name Pedro.

In 1976, Pedro-Boat moved to the current site at W.A. Scholtenweg in Zuidbroek. The yard used to outsource parts of the construction, but more and more work was carried out in-house by our own craftsmen.

Currently, almost the complete construction of a Pedro is carried out at our own yard. The construction activities have also been expanded with services, such as boat transport, winter storage, yacht brokerage, maintenance and refits, which have turned Pedro-Boat into an allround water-sports company.

By now the company has developed into one of the largest and leading yards for motor yachts up to 15 metres within Europe. Since its incorporation, the yard has delivered more than 1,700 boats in the Netherlands and abroad, and it has sales representatives throughout Europe.

Pedro is transferred to a new team in 2012. The day-to-day administration and management is now propagated by the second generation van der Velde's. The family business employs approximately twenty employees.
